Apple has updated Fitness+ this week to expand its catalog of hundreds of workout videos. Considering the service is only one month old, its subscribers have a list of requested functions, and one particular feature stands out in many online discussions.

Apple Fitness+ gets more than two dozens of new workout videos

The Fitness+ is one of Apple’s newest subscription-based services. As its name suggests, it is focused on providing on-demand workout videos designed to work with Apple’s hardware devices like the Apple Watch.

One of the selling points of Fitness+, when it launched last Dec. 14, was its catalog. On day one, the service already had videos that would guide users on 10 different workouts such as High-Intensity Interval Training (HIIT), Strength, Yoga, Dance, Core, Cycling, Treadmill, Rowing, and Mindful Cooldown.

Apple is expanding the service’s catalog since its launch. MacRumors noted that new content had been consistently added every week, and 26 new videos were introduced just last Monday. That brings the total count of currently available workout videos close to 300 at this point.

Fitness+ subscribers are hoping Apple would improve this one function

Apple Fitness+ has been received well, but subscribers also note that the service could be improved with the addition of useful features. They hope to have a better experience in browsing workout videos by expanding the filter options for search results.

Fitness+ users hope Apple will soon add options to filter workout video searches by their difficulty level, the body part to focus on, and equipment needed. Right now, subscribers can filter search results by their preferred type of workout, music genre, workout duration, and trainer.

How much is the Apple Fitness+ subscription

People can subscribe to a standalone Apple Fitness+ plan for $9.99 per month. There is also an annual subscription option with a one-time payment of $79.99 that translates to less than $7 a month. Either way, every subscription can be shared with five other family members for a total of six users for every membership.

Apple offers a free three-month trial for people who purchased an Apple Watch 3 or later from its official stores and authorized resellers. The device’s activation needs to be sometime on or after Sept. 15, 2020, to qualify for the free trial. Using the Apple Fitness+ requires the same range of Apple Watch and an iPhone 6 or later that are updated to the latest versions of iOS and watchOS.
