TriumphX, a developer of a cross-chain-based decentralized NFT platform, announced that the work of artist YEMIKIM will be released as an NFT.
Artist YEMIKIM has been working as a visual artist for over 10 years and has a unique history of conducting various IT projects at large corporations after majoring in civil and environmental engineering and industrial engineering at KAIST. She has a history of working as a selected artist for residency and creative support at multiple cultural foundations, and she has had 6 solo exhibitions and exhibited in leading galleries such as Daejeon Museum of Art, Incheon Art Platform, Hong Kong JCCAC, Beijing Huan Tien District, and Virginia MK Gallery. She currently resides in Jeju, where she continues her work as a resident artist at Damso Art Studio.
The artist's interests span in various fields such as space, science and technology, and culture, but her main focus is respect and praise for the earth's environment and small creatures and her interest has been expressed from 'Animalia', her early artwork.
The “Interspace” series by artist YEMIKIM, to be released as an NFT this time, is a two-fold expression of the vast outer space and social system that obeys the laws of physics, the underdogs alienated from the mainstream, and the forgotten and protected spaces of animals.
As various exhibitions were replaced online after the pandemic, this series was attempted while the artist, who had been working with various materials, replaced the material itself with digital. It reflects on the origin of the universe, the question of the self, the human beings who defy, use, or conform to the great laws of nature, and the small creatures that must accept the results as they are. 'For Nahla' is a tribute to a 6-year-old girl who lived in a refugee camp chained by the guardian in a harsh environment and died while eating food in a starving state. The rabbit, which appears frequently in the work, is a memory of the white rabbit who suddenly passed away which the artist was raising while confronting the little creatures who had no choice but to become pacifists because they were born weak.
YEMIKIM's NFT works can be found on TriumphX's NFT platform Sole-X. Both TriumphX’s platforms accept ETH and TRIX payments, ENFTEE recently added support for ETH payments, and Sole-X accepts USDT and KLAY payments in addition to ETH and TRIX.
