Cyworld, the Korean social networking platform which is considered as the origin of the metaverse launched a mainnet token called 'CyDotori' and it has been successfully listed on a cryptocurrency exchange. 

Cymetaverse Pte. Ltd., the issuer of ‘CyDotori’ officially listed it on the global cryptocurrency exchange Digifinex on the 25th of November.

On 25th of November, the official from Cymetaverse Pte. Ltd.  said, "Cyworld's mainnet token 'CyDotori" will serve as the key currency of Cyworld in the future."

 Since Cyworld led the metaverse market in early 2000 with millions of customers, 'CyDotori" is expected to bring a huge blow to the cryptocurrency market in the future as Cyworld's mainnet token. In addition to the existing 32 million users, it is highly likely to blow new wind into the cryptocurrency market if the Millennial Generation in the age of 20~30s also joins the service.

CyMetaverse Pte. Ltd. predicted "Starting with the listing, CyDotori will enhance public awareness of cryptocurrency market and trading with Cyworld's popularity and also, its value will be recognized for its wide availability and practicality.

Cyworld is a first-generation metaverse social networking platform that flourished in the 2000s. It has recently restored 17 billion photos and 160 million videos uploaded by approximately 32 million users and is preparing for a flashy resurrection after its service was ended.
